We have been on 18 cruises including the Mediterranean and in my opinion the Alaskan cruise was the very best. My opinion of our trip is as follows: We left out of Seattle and spent one night there prior to the cruise. We ate at Elliott's on the Seattle Waterfront. My husband ordered the fried oysters and said they were some of the best he has ever had. We also ate Italian food at a restaurant named the Pink Door in Post Alley. There is not a sign but it is much bigger than you initially think it is and the bolognese was amazing. Food prices seem a bit high in Seattle but both restaurants were very good.
Also a great Columbia store for last minute items - which opened at 9:30 am.
We chose to have uber pick us up from the airport, take us to the terminal, and back to the airport. Very prompt and would do it again. The Carnival Legend is a nice enough ship and has things like the lounge and taste bar is places you would not expect based on other Carnival ships. Ships decor is a bit gaudy and needs some renovation in my opinion. We were in an aft room 6333. Balcony could have been cleaner and furniture needs to be replaced. TV was an older model and not flat screen. Aft rooms in the ship are very convenient to the Lido and dining room.
We were in an aft room 6333. Balcony could have been cleaner and furniture needs to be replaced. TV was an older model and not flat screen. My sister was on deck 7 and they did have a flat screen. Aft rooms in the ship are very convenient to the Lido and dining rooms. Sheets and pillows seem old and need to be replaced. Very hard to see from aft back room while sitting in chairs - they need to be taller. Also be aware that there is not a cover on the balcony. If you get sea sick easily, a bit more vibration on the back and you can also smell the fumes at times. Glass on balcony needs to be cleaned. We had 3 people in the room and the room did have a pull out bed for the 3rd person - it was not attached to the wall but a bed so that was nice for the 3rd person.
