This was a 50 year wedding anniversary trip. The room was quiet, and the service was excellent. The food in the formal dining room was superb, and the buffet in the café was good with many choices for breakfast. All of the crew were helpful when needed. Our favorite port was Sitka where we walked through the beautiful rain forest and saw some eagles. The Mendenhall Glacier and waterfall in Juneau was interesting to see. In Ketchikan we took a trolley tour and saw the totem poles. However, we didn't get to go inside the shop where the carving of the poles was done--we thought that would have been informative. The group--Black Diamonds--which played two violins and a cello in one of the lounges--was outstanding. If we were younger, we would go again because Alaska has a lot of beautiful scenery and down-to-earth people. We were glad to learn the history of our 49th state. Thanks for making our trip enjoyable!
The cabin was clean and roomy with enough space for our clothes. Our steward was a kind, friendly man.
