We chose this from the Daily mail paper. We had not cruised with Celebrity before. We were not disappointed. It was an amazing cruise. The ship was fantastic we had a fabulous time.
All the officers, staff and crew were professional, friendly and extremely helpful.
The food in the restaurant was delicious and the service was excellent. However we had difficulty getting a dining time to suit us most nights but it was worth the wait.
We had a lovely cabin with a larger verandah. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept really well. The cabin was at an optimum temperature using the air conditioning to our own preferences. The shower room was really well planned with very nice fittings. There was plenty of wardrobe space for both of us and our large suitcases fitted out of sight under the bed.
The cabin was immaculate throughout our stay. Many thanks to Kylan the young man who took extremely good care of us.
Only had one night here in Rome. We managed to walk from our hotel to the Trevi Fountain which was amazing . We ate at a small cafe nearby and enjoyed breakfast in the hotel.
We enjoyed the cable car to the top of Santorini and were lucky we didn't have to queue for long and not at all to come back down. The view was amazing we had drinks overlooking the bay. We did some shopping and returned to the ship .
We did our own thing here. We got the shuttle bus into town. Mykonos was beautiful, lovely white lined streets and beautiful café's on the waterfront. We spent an hour in a cafe overlooking the windmills we will definitely return.
I am afraid today we got to the ticket office at the Parthenon but due to the extreme heat we had to abandon our trip. We did see a little of it in the distance so we are unable to review this location.
We found Turkey rather tiring. The shopkeepers did nothing but hassle us. It was such a shame as it put us off, we felt that we could not look in any window without being almost dragged into a shop by the owner.
We took a taxi and saw some of the local sights before going to the town. We only stayed a short while and returned to the ship
We got the ferry to Capri it was amazing. We joined a tour from the ferry which took us up to the cable car. We had a lovely lunch looked at the stunning scenery, had a couple of hours to explore and took the tram back down to the ferry. The guide was very good she was very informative and could speak several languages. The views were amazing and we were glad we didn't have to walk up the 1000 steps!
We found Crete difficult as we didn't want to shop. We wandered around for a while and a local told us the marina was nearby. What a gem we spent a few hours just sitting on the front in a lovely café . The water was very relaxing it was very pleasant. We got a taxi back to the port
