We chose this cruise because of the NCL reputation and the ports and scheduling. We had been on the Sky last year and while we did not have a great experience were encouraged to try a larger and newer ship.

In many ways we were quite impressed. The ship is beautiful with many offerings for dining, entertainment and deck activities. The Waterfront is a special area that differentiates this ship from others. Many options for relaxing, dining etc... Entertainment was spectacular, especially Million Dollar Quartet. Aside from the Big Shows, the lounges with varying entertainment throughout the night afforded many options. We were mostly satisfied with our dining and enjoyed one specially meal at Moderno which was well worth it!! In the other restaurants that we ate at the food was generally good, but service was spotty and we were often left feeling that we were putting people out and a bother to them. An exception was a waiter named Ramon who served us in Savour with a smile and pleasant demeanor.

The pool area was well maintained and the hot tubs and pool were comfortable. Unfortunately the volume of music was often so loud that we retreated to other areas as we were tired of shouting to each other. We liked being able to dance and mostly enjoyed the music but it was simply way too loud and repetitious. We thought the waterpark and other activities were nice and enjoyed a slide too!! Bar service was very quick and polite.

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

Really enjoyed the larger bathroom with double sink and walk in shower and the balcony though narrow was nice. Unfortunately that's all the positive there is. We were very disappointed in the bed. The Mattresses used to make-up the queen bed individually sagged and where inches apart in height. We requested the mattresses be turned and then replaced. We don't know if either actually happened, but we do know we were not comfortable and it seemed to us that this was not done.

One evening after the room was made up we came in and found a cleaning rag left in the room and the tissue box left open and empty.

When exploring the mini-fridge we discovered food items left inside from prior guests.

Given the caliber of ship and the fact that it is merely 2 years old we were surprised to have these issues.
