I am an avid reader of other people's cruise reviews prior to going on a cruise. Therefore I try to return the favor at the conclusion of my cruise. It is not so much a review as it is my cruise memoir. Here goes.

My last cruise was 2012 on Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas. I missed cruising dearly. But I was resolute that I would not take my daughter on a cruise until she was at least three. Immature immune system, mixing formula/bottles etc. Anyway I digress...

So I was looking for a cruise leaving from NY. Because I did not want the hassle of booking flights and hotel as in previous years. I usually leave out of FL since the offerings are so much better. Also I had never been on a ship older than two years. And I love mega ships. I knew the Sunshine was completely done over and it was a smaller ship. So I was hopeful. Six of us, three adults and three kids ages 3,12 and 17 were on this cruise. Our cabins were next to each other 6290 and 6286. We had requested to have the balcony divider opened so our balconies connected.
