I resisted Cruising fir 40 years. this is the Baltic which made all the difference. St Petersburg alone is spectacular but all towns (Bruges, Helsinki, Talinn, Gdansk Copenhagen, Stockholm etc.) are brilliant.
on board it's like visiting a good restaurant every evening with excellent service and a 5 course meal.. really full buffet breakfast. but want coffee or tea with your free and excellent pastries, outside the buffet and it's $3-5. it's the same tea bags as in the free buffet. Not sure what the beverage called coffee served in the buffet, is.
Internet costs $50 every few hours!.
adequate bed, but bend your head to get around (there are bunk beds which fold down almost over your bed. shower tiny, but does the job.
boarding very smooth, luggage taken from dockside to outside your cabin
you are not informed that you dont' dock in Bruges, and it's quite a journey. need to getbyour info before departure
a beautiful city
much to see
More recent than other cities, indeed the Finns as an independent nation. quite beautiful
Probably the most stunning place in Europe. The Tsars spent $bn's on the palaces and art.
Really early medieval town gerat atmosphere
Another medieval town, much restored from WWII destruction
