We chose Scenic as our preferred cruise option on the recommendation of some friends who had completed a cruise last year. Apart from having to wait in the hotel in Amsterdam for a few hours (could not get out due to the weather) the embarkation went very well.
With the cruise ship Scenic Opal being only 12 months old the facilities were first class and the service provided was excellent. Our stateroom was very good and the service provided by our butler and cabin attendant was of the highest quality.
The dining on the cruise ship was excellent with the provision of "fine dining" quality food and beverages. Apart from one item, the entertainment provided on board was excellent, especially the "crew shows".
Cabin Review
Cabins were very comfortable and well serviced each day.
The only suggestion we have is that for couples travelling the use of a double doona in lieu of two single doona's.
