Overall a very enjoyable cruise

Bad points:

Ship was late arriving at Southampton and it seems most people had not received the e mail advising later check in, or had travel arrangements which meant they arrived at their original time. This meant there was total chaos at the port with no one around to direct people where to go and what to do - really disorganised and took ages to finally get on board.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Smaller than the equivalent on Independence of the Seas, cramped around the wardrobe area and the wardrobe doors did not open fully and fold back which would have helped.

However, very comfortable and huge bed, lovely balcony. Couple of times the toilet wouldn't flush and our attendant advised the system is very sensitive and it was likely that it was blocked elsewhere. It did clear itself each time and flush.

Slightly shabby air to the cabin, the sofa being a bit faded and worn, but all clean and tidy.

Port Reviews

Genoa

Didn't like Genoa at all, very dirty, lots of beggars and persistent street vendors. Took an open top bus tour, but nothing of much interest to see. Would not visit here again.

Malaga

Didn't expect to like Malaga but loved it! Clean, lovely boulevard around the harbour with great looking restaurants and shops. Took a horse and carriage ride (30 Euros for 35 minutes) which was excellent, our guide was really informative.

Lovely shopping centre, lots of designer shops. Will definitely go here again.

Southampton

Chaos! Awful boarding experience!
