If you have a problem with motion sickness then a river cruise is for you. And the one to choose is Viking. They do so many things right it's almost impossible to list them all. The area they really do the best at is service. Also Viking has eliminated formal nights, casinos, and intrusive photographers. What they offer on a river cruise is an intimate ship (capacity 190 passengers) and open seating. Our ship had only Americans and no children. Viking River ships don't have triple or quad cabins.

The morning shore excursions are included and you have an option to purchase the afternoon tours. We took the medieval tour of Colmar, France and the Bruhl Palace in Cologne, Germany. Both were very good and well worth it.

Viking uses their own buses which are absolutely beautiful. They also have the best English speaking guides and with your QuietVox receivers your able to hear your guide even when she or he is out of sight. One tip is to be sure to wear your best walking shoes for the majority of the time your walking on cobblestone streets.
