We choose Carnival as they had a new ship and it was departing from Barcelona. The price was very reasonable for a ten night cruise as compared to Royal Caribbean. We have completed six cruises with Royal Caribbean and were apprehensive about changing to another company. We were not disappointed by Carnival Cruises and would definitely cruise with them again.

We booked a package which included a two night stay in Barcelona. I personally found Barcelona quite dirty with grafitti evident all over the city. The sites of Barcelona were amazing but two nights were adequate.

Embarkation on Saturday morning was quite smooth and organised. We encountered no problems and were in our cabin by 1.30pm. Our cabin was an interior cabin with two bunk beds (number 2237). Cabin size similar to other interior cabins, small and compact. There was adequate storage space. Bathroom had shower with shower curtain. There was a persistent smell of urine in bathroom even though it was cleaned each day. We found our cabin to be clean and well maintained with large television and small fridge.

We stayed in cabin 2327. Cabin was compact but had ample storage space. Bathroom was compact with small shower, toilet and wash hand basin. Shower had a shower curtain as opposed to glass door.
