This was my first ,taster' cruise and albeit only two nights I feel as though I have been away for a week. We were celebrating a friends retirement and travelling with 7 ladies of which two were regular cruises. The embarkation and disembarkation was quick and efficient considering the number of passengers. I cannot fault the cleanliness of the ship and our cabin. This was all carried out without any inconvenience to passengers, and the staff were helpful and considerate at all times. Regular cruises had given me an insight as to what to expect on board, but I was still shocked by the dining and food. The two formal evenings in Alexandria surpassed my expectation. It was a fine dining experience and very impressive. Fast, attentive, friendly efficient staff just make all the difference. I am still staggered how our waiter managed to remember all seven orders with specific requirements and then served correctly to each person.......amazing!! I can't remember the last time I ate food that was cooked, and presented to such a high standard. The choices, including an optional additional menu selected by Marco Pier White, were challenging. I wanted most things on the menu and it took me sometime to decide. I was not disappointed with my choices and relished every mouthful. Cooked to perfection I was a very satisfied diner, and didn't have to pick up a bill of £60 or more! The self service buffet was another experience. I expected something like the USA or UK style of food chains buffet, but quite the opposite. A huge amount of choice and the finest quality. We all enjoyed the tribute band that weekend and 'blame it on the boogie'.
Would I recommend ...absolutely.
Are we going again....absolutely.
