Please read the previous reviews as I attest to uniqueness of this cruise, the quality of the ship, programs, activities and staff. Hubby and I took 2 9 year old grandchildren. We booked 2 adjoining balcony cabins so that we all had plenty of room. We did 3 Impact activities: cacoa factory, recycling and water filters. Everyone in our 3 groups from 9 year olds to seniors were able to equally participate and feel they made a difference. The Fathom Impact staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. The ship staff were about the best we have encountered. Our dining room staff were attentive and kind to the kids without treating them as children. The only "con" I would mention is the menu. The kids found it difficult to find food they recognized (I barely recognized some items and some were things we are just not used to eating) on the menu and had to resort to burgers or chicken nuggets most night. A separate childrens menu is needed. Our room was spacious with plenty of room for storage. I will say the bathroom is tiny! We were on the even numbered side of the ship and had a water cove view, if you get an odd numbered room you will have a land port view. Amber Cove is beautiful, the scenery from our balcony was spectacular night and day. Gorgeous pool with lots of loungers. Bring plenty of sunscreen and a hat as it is not shaded, umbrellas are available for rental. Except for one day when a Canival ship pulled in for a few hours we had the whole port to ourselves. This was our second cruise on Adonia (Cuba 6/26) and we look forward to being on her again.
