Just returned back in Melbourne, Australia after a month in Europe. After a week in Paris...yum...and 4 days in stunning Venice...we excitedly joined the Spirit for a Mediterranean cruise. We had been on a Celebrity cruise 2 years earlier through the Pacific and just loved it. Stupidly, we expected the same with the Norwegian Spirit.

The Ports were the key interest to both my partner and I and fitted into our itinerary perfectly.

But after a bit of disorganisation getting aboard we entered our balcony room to find I had to clean the balcony doors as the glass was filthy and covered in salt. You couldn't see through them! Not a great start.

Port Reviews

Toulon

We didn't use any ship excursions. Just got a taxi at each port and took our chances. All drivers were great and we got to see a lot. Do your homework for each port prior.
