I set this cruise up for my elderly parents as a retirement gift.

PROS: The room was nicer than expected. Had a king size bed, with a pull-out sofa. We were on the starboard side (right) with a balcony. Housekeeping and wait staff were amazing. Super friendly and went out of their way to make sure everyone was having a great experience. Shows were above average (they got better as the week went on). Walls were thick, couldn't hear much noise from the hallways or rooms next door. Daily itineraries were easy to follow. Embarkation/disembarkation procedures were clear and very organized. Cruise Director Dan was full of energy and really seemed to enjoy his job!

CONS: There weren't enough time in the ports. Some games and activities were expensive. Had an issue with guest services where they charged me $95 for use of a wheelchair to be used on one of THEIR tours to Butchart Gardens. I wanted the charge removed after I found out there were FREE wheelchairs available at the gardens (shouldn't they have disclosed that to me?), but they refused.

Balcony

Cabin BC

Water pressure was good, bed was comfortable and clean. A bit cramped for three people, but manageable. Plenty of fluffy towels and pillows. Carpet shows wear and tear. Had three large suitcases and all of them fit underneath the bed. Bathroom was clean, but small so beware if you are larger in size.

Port Reviews

Glacier Bay

The captain turns the ship multiple times so both sides of the ship can experience the glaciers up and close and personal. We actually got to see part of the glacier break off and sink into the water. Wear a coat because it gets chilly!

Ketchikan

Lots of shops to buy souvenirs. Bring a small umbrella or a poncho because it gets very rainy!
