We chose HAL because we love this cruise line and this was our first time on Ms Westerdam to Alaska and we were not disappointed. The Westerdam had some slight wear but we experienced no major issues on our cruise. We did encounter some noticeable vibration in the MDR and some slight swaying in our room (that we did not experience on the larger Oosterdam ship) but contributed it to a smaller vessel.

We were in Neptune Suite 7081 and loved it. Nice layout, spacious balcony, and our room stewards were very attentive. We always enjoy the Neptune Lounge with their delicious coffee and food.

Most all of meals were very good in the MDR with the exception of one night when we requested an appointed time (had open seating) and it was made for the wrong night. The host tried to refuse to seat us but we insisted and we were seated in a corner between other guests and had poor service, after that we chose to "walk in" and had excellent service from then on.
