If anyone ever wants to take a sensationally epic cruise that is full of adventure, fun and camaraderie with everyone you meet Carnival Ecstasy is the way to go! Everyone on board is so gracious, kind and helpful! They made our first cruise so amazing and the entire crew should be applauded for doing everything so well!!!

Charleston was a beautiful and friendly community and we very much enjoyed our historical walking tour of the city, though I am now quite concerned that a skin-walking Boo Hag will skulk in while I am sleeping and steal my soul-essence (thank you very much to our tour guide Pirate Eric for that little piece of subconscious subterfuge). Many folks on reviews had complained about both embarkation and debarkation out of Charleston, but we encountered no difficulties whatsoever during each process. It may have helped that we stayed at a local hotel and used the very convenient (and hospitable) Lyft service to get to and from the port. We had the drivers drop is off and pick us up from the fountain a few blocks away and this made the process go so fast. We got to ride with Joshua and Thomas who were both chatty and social during each ride. We also packed rather light, bringing everything in two backpacks and one carry-on so we got in and out of the terminal very rapidly and without any trouble at all. I liked the staggered boarding process. We were signed up for 1:30, got in line at 1:15 with all documentation out and ready and were on the ship before 2:00. Getting out was just as simple and even faster.

The cruise itself was amazing and whether it was the best stewardess in the world, Geraldine, going the extra mile to congratulate us on our wedding anniversary or the most professionally fantastic dining team of Wolfredo, Lamberto and Luis in the Wind Song dining room serenading us while bringing a special, surprise cake (these three gentlemen are just wonderful) and remembering even the tiniest details of our preferences it was simply the best vacation ever!!! We encountered so many dedicated, hard-working people each day and all were cheerful and so polite like Lazaro, who was really polishing up the banisters in the Atrium, Tawa working the dining room in the Buffet area along with Sousun and Pupsa at the dessert table is very helpful. Vanessa in the Blue Sapphire lounge is just so nice and very fast at helping with any beverage you may need while always asking how the day had gone.

Cabin 6E

We enjoyed our cabin and felt it had plenty of room. It was comfortable and our Stewardess, Geraldine, was incredible! Ours was very conveniently located to stars and elevators, which was helpful.

Port Reviews

Nassau

We were very much looking forward to our adventurous snorkeling and private beach excursion, but it was canceled because the boat had a motor that broke before we left. We explored the area on foot ( much to the disappointment and obvious disdain of the taxi drivers accosting people at each opportunity) and walked to the Queen's staircase, Fort Fincastle and the Government district.
