Cabin: Window Suite, no Balcony

This was our first trip to the West Coast. The embarkation was very easy. They told us to arrive at 2:30 PM but it was no problem to get on board in time for lunch. We chose a window suite that does not have a balcony. We have had this type of bin in the past. It gives us a large space with two late picture windows and has all of the suite benefits such as special breakfast and laundry service. Breakfasts were in sabatini's. We went to the steak house on the first night and to Sabatini's another night. The food in the streak restaurant was good but the service lacked to attentiveness of sabatini's. This is the first time we chose traditional dining. The attention of the same waiters was very good as they were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Finding seats for the shows war challenging. One problem was that they did not publish when the show would be repeated on future nights. We often opted to go to the Wheelhouse Bar that was significantly quite and less crowded to to listen to one of two excellent bands or a guitar player.

We took to Duck Boat tour in Ketchican. It was very informative and a lot of fun. In Skagway were to the White Pass and Yukon train up into the mountains. It was a great value.

We enjoyed to art program on the ship and attended several lectures and auctions.

Arrived three days early and stayed at the Sheraton Fisherman's Wharf. It was a nice hotel but could use some sound conditioning. A great breakfast place a few blocks away was the Hollywood Cafe.
