After reading many bad and some good reviews of this ship (Elation), I was determined to be open minded going into this cruise. I chose this cruise/ship because it was a fairly close port for us to drive to and the dates fit our Summer schedule. We found the Elation staff to be top notch in service and friendliness- especially the room stewards. The ship itself is outdated but still very pretty - however during our cruise we noticed maintenance doing repairs in many areas daily - I know this ship is scheduled for a dry dock upgrade in 2017, but it is definitely overdue. Embarkation at JaxPort was smooth and organized. The food in the main dining room and the Lido Restaurant (Tiffany's) was average - it was never bad but not as good as some of the larger ships. My children had the Bottomless Bubbles (unlimited sodas) which requires you to receive your sodas from the bars and it was quite frustrating that the bartenders would make them wait and wait while they took and fulfilled orders for alcoholic drinks first. I do understand that Carnival makes their money off the alcoholic drinks but they seriously need to find a better system for the Bottomless Bubbles program. Half Moon Cay was unbelievably beautiful and a very relaxing day- would love to have 2 days at this port. We spent our day in Nassau at Atlantis doing the Dolphin encounter/Aquadventure Water Park. From the moment we joined the Atlantis personnel in the Lounge to prepare for our excursion we found them to be bossy, unfriendly, and not appreciative of their guests. We were not told our excursion would include a 20-30 minute walking tour through the property before our dolphin encounter. We ended up having a total of maybe an hour at the water park. If we ever do Atlantis again, we will simply take a taxi on our own to the property and do the Waterpark. All in all I would recommend this cruise/ship if you are looking for a good value but understand that it is an older and smaller ship with not as many amenities and activities as the larger ships.

Room was neat and very clean. Room steward was very good! This room is located near the elevators but we never heard any noise from "elevator traffic" but there is a metal strip on the floor in front of this room and when things are rolled down the hallway it can be quite noisy.
