We were in suite 1215, queen bed with a pullout couch/living area and really big balcony. We were on back to back cruises through the eastern and western caribbean. 2 Adults and 1 child. The first week we were traveling with just our family and the second week we were traveling with friends, who were booked in the cabin next door.

Good stuff about the cruise: Food was good, especially the buffet and tea. Service was great the first week, not as good on the second (more on that later). The room was nice, but worn out. We paid about $10,000 for the 2 weeks. We are used to staying in Four Seasons/Ritz Carltons (and could have done the 2 weeks at any of those resorts for that much money but thought we would try this out and go to a bunch of ports) and figured this would be pretty nice. The balcony was really big but sadly in need of repairs with rust breaking through the paint and filthy window barriers. Deck chairs and wooden deck were really nice however. Embarkation and disembarkation were a breeze. Butler named David was great on the first week. Butler on the second week not as nice or efficient. Seems less than enthused with his job until the day before tips were to be given. Housekeeping was excellent both weeks.

Bad stuff: Front desk less than helpful, bordering on surly at times (and these are the people in guest relations???!!!). I asked if I could send a bottle of VERY expensive champagne to my friends room for his birthday. Front desk said tell the wine steward, wine steward said ask the butler, butler said tell the front desk... I asked for a bottle of wine to be delivered to the dining table the night of my friend's actual birthday. They lost the bottle and everyone blamed everyone else. No one seems to take responsibility for anything on this ship. They are friendly and nice enough but don't know the true meaning of customer service. The smoking on the trip was AWFUL!!! They really let people smoke anywhere to the point where it's a huge fire hazard. The people in the cabin next door were smoking and putting out the butts on the wooden deck floor. Gross and scary.
