It was an intimate setting on the Viking Longship. A maximum of 190 passengers, but there were only 120 of us. We were treated like royalty. We sailed down the Danube to Budapest, spending time in Vienna and other cities. The ship docked with easy access to the heart of the cities where we had tied up. The crew was pleasant, the captain informative. The food was sensational. At breakfast and lunch there was a sumptuous buffet of excellent choices. Even the self serve coffee machine near our room made an excellent cup of coffee, or hot chocolate or expresso. We made a lot of good friends along the way due to the intimate setting. We actually found the food on the ship to be far superior to anything we found on shore, particularly in Budapest. We would do another Viking river cruise again in a heartbeat. What a treat.
This was a well thought out cabin, with a small veranda off the starboard side.
