Viking cruises always look so wonderful on the commercials so we decided to take one. We were not disappointed! Every last detail was taken care of from the moment we left the airport. We were greeted with a warm towel upon our arrival onto the ship and it just got better from there. The staff was wonderful-so friendly and eager to help with any question or concern. The ship was beautiful and clean. Our cabin was spacious and the housekeeping staff did an awesome job at keeping it spotless. The activities on the ship were great. Our program director, Lionel, gave a daily briefing on what we could expect on our next excursion as well as his humorous take on river boat sailing. He was great! We really liked learning about the cities and towns where we docked. We also liked the exposure to the culture of France, from the cheese tasting to the French singing group to the informative talks. The menu also highlighted dishes from Normandy. All of the food was ample and delicious. Our chef was superb and the wait staff is amazing!! All of the ports we visited were spectacular! The audio devices that are provided really make the sightseeing that much better. All of our tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. We definitely recommend Viking to everyone who asks about our vacation. We have already booked another one for next year!! Thanks, Viking, for an unforgettable vacation!
