Great ship, Viking and their crew took care of all of our needs. Small amount of people, intimate travel experience, got to know the entire crew personally. Excursions were well planned and very well led by expert guides. I found them to be very educational. The optional tour, of which we took two, Chateau Siaurac and Camus cognac factory were first rate. They were well worth the money. Transportation on the excursions was provided with the most comfortable Viking Mercedes tour buses.

Food was good. Breakfast was the best meal with a buffet and continental options, plus ordering off the menu. Quality and taste was excellent. Lunch provided two option: main dining room, ordering of the menu, or upstairs on the deck with a buffet. Both options were consistently very good. Dinner provided 2 or 3 choices. These I found to be inconsistent, varying from average to excellent. Service and crew were outstanding, friendly, and went out of their way to please us.

Cabin was small by cruise ship standards, bed matress was worn and needed replaced. Our attendant Monica was wonderful and took care of all our needs.
