We chose Viking because advertising works! We were extremely pleased with the cruise and Viking itself. Service was outstanding, the food tasty and the excursions generally well done. We picked a time of year when the weather can still be cold and we experienced that for the first part of the cruise. We even had snow flurries. By the time we got to Budapest, however, the temperature reached 70 degrees. We chose to use air miles so we did not use Viking's air options. We added a day and night on our own in Budapest following disembarking the ship. The staff members from housekeeping to waitstaff, to the concierge, to the program director and the crew were all very professional, helpful and friendly. The cabins were small as with most cruise ships, but they were well laid out, clean and comfortable.

We had absolutely no complaints and would do a Viking river cruise again in a heartbeat.
