Sail Date: Jul 2016
Cabin: Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony
Traveled with children

There were 12 of us in our party spread across various cabins. We paid full price for a mini suite that had a capacity for 4. We had a king sized (2 x twin sized beds put together), a sofabed and a flip down bed. Our sofabed vibrated throughout the entire cruise. While in port and while sailing. We ask guest services multiple times to move us to another room where the sofabed was not vibrating and they said they couldn't do that for us. They sent up a carpenter TWICE to verify the issue, both times they acknowledged the issue and said that it could not be fixed and to contact guest services. Which we did multiple times. We knew the issue was specific to our cabin because some of our companions were also in a mini suite and their sofabed did not exhibit a similar issue. They offered to put my family into an inside cabin in deck 5 for a single night. That was their resolution for our many sleepless nights. Needless to say, that level of service was not what we expected at all for a nearly 7k price tag for our cabin. Very disappointed and would not recommend this cruise line or that particular ship. We had traveled on the Norwegian Dawn a couple of times in the past and the level of comfort and service was better.

The specialty restaurant staff were outstanding. Specifically, Cagney's steakhouse, Teppanyaki, and Le bistro. The level of service exceeded what we expected.

The main dining rooms had average service. The best being the Manhattan room (largest) and the worst being Taste. Savor was okay but the hostess was not knowledgeable. We asked the hostess there, how long for a table for 12 and she replied 40 minutes. Fair enough I thought, maybe they were busy. I asked okay, how about a table for 5 since the rest of the group was going to eat elsewhere. She responded, 40 minutes. Without a single explanation. We felt like she did not really care what we asked, everything to her was 40 minutes.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

The cabin had a vibrating sofabed so we were not able to use it. The ship crew was not able to fixed the issue, nor move us to another mini suite. Guest services was terrible and not able to resolve the issue.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

Pretty much madness as usual. Long lines, crowded. I guess that is to be expected in the big apple.

King's Wharf

Very easy to maneuver. Not problems exiting or boarding the vessel.
