Having cruised with a number of cruise lines ( Royal Caribbean , P & O and Oceania ) we were interested to see how Cunard compared , the fact a refit had occurred recently would be even better .
We were expecting higher standards than RC and P & O but in our opinion the food was not as good in the main dining room . Most courses read well on the menu but were disappointing when they arrived . The main buffet for breakfast and lunch was generally good however one day my chicken was still raw in the middle !!
Overall the ship was nice although it did lack the Wow factor in many areas and some of the hallways were very bland . You can see it is built as a transatlantic ship rather than an out and out cruise ship .
Cabin Ok , comfy beds , good storage , Fridge ,
Docked in the new port terminal , about half an hours coach ride from the centre , free shuttle bus laid on which was fine . Couldn't get onto Wifi in terminal building .
Quick embarkation
