Sail Date: Jul 2016

The Dawn is an old boat even though recently renovated. There was a huge hole in the ceiling above the customer service desk on the Promenade where they were doing work. Most of the public bathrooms had stalls out of order and the bathrooms in the private rooms smelled like urine most of the trip.

Service was mediocre at best. If you wanted good, enjoyable service you had to pay additional cash tips constantly. Since tips were pre paid up front, we ended up spending hundreds of dollars more just for good service. Otherwise you were ignored.

We did not realize you had to make reservations for dinner with Freestyle cruising. We were a party of 14 and were not able to eat together in the beginning until we found reservations we could make for the remainder of the week. Having a reservation to us was not freestyle cruising. This meant our day would again be planned by our dinner.
