This was our first time sailing on Norwegian. We have previously sailed on Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. There are several reasons why we wouldn't sail on Norwegian again. The buffet (both at breakfast and lunch) was nothing short of a cluster. The food was laid out very poorly. Immediately upon entering the restaurant, there is a long line (either for the specialty eggs (omelets, eggs-made-to-order, etc.) or the coffee/juice line, which is located directly opposite this line. These lines prevent anyone else from entering, unless you want to 'push' your way through, which is not a good experience, for anyone. The food in the dining room in the evening was fabulous; nice variety and very tasty!! After several days of kids (the younger and older kids) running down the halls at all hours of the day and night, we realized that the ship had a 'Scavenger Hunt' for the kids, which was timed. Our experience was to see (and hear) them running down the halls, in the Atrium, and pushing their way on the elevators (which are oddly sized). We did enjoy the Casino; lots of variety of slot machines and the crew were very engaging.
We were in Cabin 0311, handicap accessible room. Again, oddly shaped...there was a pull down bed directly over my side of the bed. When I got up, I had to stand up and walk sideways to get to our bathroom to get around this pull down bed. However, our cabin steward, Jo Ann, was simply a delight...she was friendly and very efficient!
