This cruise was our first on a Celebrity ship. We've cruised dozens of times on various size ships.. The Celebrity Millennium is obvious an older ship..it looks and feels it. We started the cruise with an overnight in Anchorage at the Marriott with bus transfer to the port. Our family had travelled by train ten years ago before boarding an RCCL ship. Cruise check-in at the hotel was awkward but completed adequately. Initial boarding was smooth.

Our cabin was Aqua Class. Our cabin attendant was helpful and efficient. The cabin layout was strange. If the closet doors were open you couldn't open the bathroom door nor open the other closet door. Limited drawer storage. The bathroom had a very nice shower set up, rain shower head and multiple side jets (6). Balcony had two chairs and table, not big enough for a lounge chair.

Dining in the BLU restaurant was the highlight of the cruise, This venue was limited to Aqua Class only. It was healthier that the main dinning room less fatty, small portions, light fare. We did not have a set table nor dining time yet most very night we were seated quickly. We had Armando or the "Muffin Man" as our waiter each night. Wow! great personalized service (11 out of 10 rating).
