chose Carnival for a July 2016 cruise to celebrate daughter's graduation from high school. I prefer HAL or Celebrity but wasn't able to find a cruise that met my requirements. Had a balcony cabin with my wife, daughter and one of her friends. Crowded but what I expected. Embarkation was horrible due to a computer problem. Took over 3 hours to get on the ship. The ship seemed to be hot overall. Seemed like the A/C was not able to keep up with demands. I was actually sweating anytime I ate at the lido deck. Waiting in line seemed to be the theme of this cruise from embarkation, to disembarkation to the buffet line to getting off the cruise ship at ports. Comedians couldn't do a PG show. Cruise director "Big Sexy" seemed to be loud and vulgar at times. Food was good to average. Room was always left in the "sleeping mode". I would have liked to have a couch during the day.

Balcony

Cabin 8C

Crowded but expected due to 4 guests in room. Balcony was nice. Hardly saw the room steward. Couch and over head bunk were left in the "bed" position the whole cruise. Never had ice delivered to room.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Difficult embarkation, no signs for parking. got lost several times.

Ocho Rios

dunn's river falls was great but crowded. more problems with leaving ship and getting back on. lines were very long.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

lines and more lines for leaving ship and getting back on. I've been to Grand Cayman many times and never had it like this.
