Chose this cruise as it did the destinations we wanted, including Istanbul. However, looks like Celebrity have now dropped Istanbul as a cruise destination/port of call.

Celebrity changed our cruise, so we overnighted at Athens at the start of the cruise, to replace overnighting at Istanbul at the end of the cruise, which was not ideal. Perhaps they should have found another port to fill the gap.

Having said that, we were impressed with the Equinox. It never seemed crowded, and food was to a good standard. However, we were a little disappointed in the specialty restaurants - we thought the food was not "special", with the Murano restaurant being the best. Interestingly, if you went to the buffet at night, you could have steak or fish cooked for you, so it was hot - the menu in the main dining room was good, but food was normally only warm by the time it reached the table.
