This was our first Med cruise and enjoyed Mediterranean Vacation tremendously. Carnival Cruise excursions were done well with very friendly and informative guides. We would recommend all that we took. We have been on about 16 different cruise ships and the Vista is probably the smoothest sailing ship so far. Violinists on the Vista Atrium were excellent and most enjoyable. We went to all comedy shows, which were excellent and made the a perfect end to each day. All ship personnel seem to always be hustling, yet seemed to be understaffed. Havana suites looked fabulous and our Jr. Suite was very nice. Ordered coffee and cheesecake from Room Service at Midnite. Took 10 minutes to deliver but did not have enough real sugar. Overall ship was very, except for pool and restaurant areas.

We were not very impressed with the Vista. The ship's decor was rather bland. "My Time Dining" is a misnomer on this ship. It should be "wait " for your dining. Lido Market Place Buffet was very disappointing (poor menu). TV channels only have news, cartoon channel, History channel. No NBC, ABC, SHO, HBO, PBS or serials. You must pay for "shows on Demand". Children's slide should not be by Serenity Deck. Children dropped clothes off at Serenity Deck and went on water Slide. Children were also running through Serenity Deck.

Paid $40 for Internet for cruise to use Face book. 1st day was shot since we needed to download messenger. Next day went to desk and a very friendly and knowledgeable girl from Russia took care of problem. Dinner menu should be posted on TV or Hub to let people decide which restaurant to eat at. Embarkation took over an hour and that was with Priority Boarding. Did not have tear-off section of "Fun Times". Public restrooms were poorly placed. We only enjoyed 2 good meals at Horizons Dining Room. Entertainment other than the comedy shows were not to our liking (juggler, magician etc.).

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

We were upgraded to Jr. Suite for 1/2 price the week before the cruise. After talking to other cruise guest, we were glad that we did since they complained about the size of their staterooms. Had walk-n closet, double sink and jacuzzi tub.

Port Reviews

Athens (Piraeus)

Landed in Athens the day of embarkation. City looked modern and clean. Had a porter strike so ship was delayed.
