We wanted 3 days in St Petersburg to see as much art, architecture and history as possible. This was the only cruise that offered it. Our friends had taken Celebrity cruises before, and in particular, some friends had taken this Baltic Sea cruise last year, and they all highly recommended this cruise.
Service on Celebrity ship was impeccable. This being our first cruise on a ship this large (Silhouette carries 2800 passengers) we had some concerns about congestion and service. But we were pleasantly surprised by the high level of service, personal attention, efficient exit from and entry into ship at every port, excellent food, etc.
The pool area was a bit crowded occasionally, mainly because some people SLEPT on the lounge chairs (why they could no sleep in their staterooms, I will never know).

Deluxe Veranda 2B
Stateroom with veranda had all amenities. Size was good. Very comfortable, They even provided skin lotion, etc. No slippers to go to swimming pool though. Had to ask for blanket, which was small. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the staterooms, including night light in bathroom, clothes closet, comfortable bed and furniture, etc. Shower was very good, shower stall was good size.
