sailed from rome to med everything was executed superbly smooth by royal carribean staff who were waiting for guests to arrive.. luggage taken by separate vehicle to ship.so luggage brought to stateroom later in afternoon sadly did not pack separate small case with a few items sun creams in small 100ml containers and change of clothes ie swim costume shorts etc so was cooking away in roasting heat for several hours while case arrived.. it was beautifully hot on upper deck and could not lie out as wearing jeans and long sleeved top my fault will now next time... cabin on deck 9 superb we were upgraded from inside to superior balcony which really made the holiday so much more memorable had breakfast on balcony as we were in port of crete and had lovely views of the island.
evening drinks on balcony before dinner in the tides restaurant,,very good menu always spoilt for choice.. waiting staff very attentive and smiling and friendly..had table for two every evening by the window ..we were on 9pm dining time but went down at 8.15 ish and always had table waiting for us..very relaxing tables are close together but was not a problem as in a cruise you are never far from someone else..ate breakfast mainly in windjammer buffet and was very happy with what was on offer i have to say if you came in late at any time during day there could be a much less choice as the do close to prepare for next meal time so everything has to be cleaned away....
the cabin we had was in quiet location on deck 9.... only downside we found was room cleaning trollys outside the state room most times.. which we did not like but saying that did not have any noise from staff .working. entertainment excellent well done entertainment staff.only major problem for many guests last day no sun loungers!!! its a bit much expecting 60 plus age group to sunbathe on towel on deck floor as many were..i thought that was a disgrace.. why oh why do not cruise ships have laminated printed stateroom number which slots into sun loungers which stops many from hogging too many sunloungers or should there be a sunlounger for all..someone has to address this..cruise ships must lose rebooking because of this..went on holland america this was never a problem..overall great CRUISE.
superb loved it really good size balcony fabulous to wake up and watch the sea sail past..very comfy beds nice cool sheets i think were changed daily or seemed so. fresh towels twice daily very good cabin service everything spotless and tidy..could not fault anything..
