We chose this cruise as we had not been to any of the destinations it visited. The embarkation was chaos to say the least. We arrived at the cruise terminal at 12 noon but there was no ship. We were told there had been a problem and would be in by 3pm we had not been informed about this. A shuttle bus back to the city was available and they would bring us back at 5pm this was then changed to 5.30pm. At 5pm it was total chaos in Copenhagen hundreds of people waiting for the buses to return. Eventually they arrived and we got to the terminal at 5.50 and joined the queue to check in and embark. No one was organising the queue and people began to form a second queue and push in, there were no staff available to prevent this. My wife and two gentlemen decided enough was enough and took it upon themselves to direct people to the rear of the queue. We eventually boarded the ship at 8pm a wait of more than two hours thank goodness it was fine.

The ship itself is very nice the crew are also very caring except for a couple of officers who were quite officious. We had excursions booked in St Petersburgh not with the cruise line as we found them very expensive compared to the highly recommended SPB tours. We went to disembark at 7.45am to meet up with our tour at 8.30. We were prevented from leaving because those who had booked cruises with NCL we given priority this to say the least is discrimination. Two members of our tour missed the departure due to this. NCL just want your money they even charge for an official tour of behind the scenes. However we did not let these mishaps spoil our cruise and for the most part it was very good and the food was very nice and the Versaille restaurant was excellent. The transfer to the airport via NCL was well organised and we collected the bags at the airport in a special area.

Cabin Review

Cabin BC

Nice cabin but found it smaller than other cruise lines. Very comfortable bed and well thought out cabin, plenty of hanging space in the wardrobe and sufficient drawer and shelf space. TV system needs upgrading, unable to access on board account.
