After discussions with our friends, we all decided upon a cruise to Alaska. They have cruised before but this is our first time. Celebrity was a wonderful choice. our ship was the Solstice and offered great amenities.

Our stateroom was comfortable and offered more room that we had expected. Some of the furnishing were a bit tired, but we were informed that the Solstice will be undergoing upgrades and improvements come this next year.

Service was impeccable and the staff were welcoming and helpful with only a few exceptions. The ship offered a number of venues and a vast array of entertainment. One or rather two highlights were Brent Nixon and his wife who provided lectures on nature, history of the ports and even a fantastic talk on the last song of the Titanic. Read more
