Background: Family with kids 7 and 9 traveling with our parents and sister's family with kids 5,6,8. We've been on Disney Wonder 3 times and Royal Caribbean 3 times. We live in South Florida, and cruising has been our family vacation (usually, during spring break)

Disney Cruises are great for kids - especially ages 3-9. Their kids programs are top notch. Food and service is great. Also, good family entertainment. The only drawback is the cost usually. Similar itineraries from other cruise lines are cheaper, but you don't get the Disney experience.

The drawback on this cruise was that due to weather and a tropical storm, we missed the highlight of Disney Cruises - Castaway Cay. This is the private Disney Island beach we think is probably the best excursion. The beach is clean and we usually have a great day here. We went to Cozumel instead. As with our other Disney cruises, everything was very good, so II'l try to point out the highlights.
