We decided to take our first ever cruise for our 10 year anniversary! We wanted to go on a family vacation with our 3 and 5 year old and this was perfect. We had heard amazing things about the Disney cruise line but since we had never been on a cruise before we really went in with very few expectations, and we were honestly blown away. The ship itself was MASSIVE and it was completely pristine in every way and everywhere you turned there was something beautiful and exciting and magical. Every day was full of fun and surprises, followed, by amazing dinners at rotating restaurants, then we usually went to a dance party or a few character meetings followed by an awesome show to end the night! It was such an amazing experience and we all came off the ship saying three words... best vacation ever!

Day 1: Port Canaveral Our first day we boarded the ship early and set out to explore! Of course as soon as we saw the pools the kids wanted to get in the water right away, so thankfully I packed our bathing suits in our day bag and we went straight to test out the slides! The Mickey slide hands down was our kids favorite, I swear they went down it over 100 times throughout our trip! That first day we also checked out Goofy's Sports Deck, Nemo's Reef, the Aqua Lab, and the kids clubs, and then we went to the Sail Away party on the 11th deck which our 5 year old was super in to. The first night's dinner was at Animator's Palate where we met our awesome servers (who quickly learned that our children love spaghetti without sauce) followed by some character meetings and a welcome show to wrap up the night!

Day 2: At Sea We knew this would be a busy day on the ship and everyone would probably be heading up to the pool deck, so we decided to schedule all of our special meet and greets for this day to try and steer clear of the crowded pools. It worked out perfectly for us and was one of the most fun days on the ship! We woke up early for a Disney Junior character breakfast with Sophia, Doc, and Jake and a special guest... Mickey Mouse! The looks on the kids faces were priceless as they got to enjoy breakfast with all their favorite characters. They could barely eat they were so excited! After that we went on to meet two of Beckham's favorite characters from Toy Story, Jessie & Woody! From there we let the kids get out some energy on the fourth deck where they were able to run around under the life boats, and then we went all around the ship playing MidShip Detective Agency, which is basically an awesome detective scavenger hunt with interactive portraits that talk to you and give you clues when you hold up your badge, the kids loved it! After that we went to the Frozen meet & greet with Elsa & Anna, and then the Princess Gathering! And guess who was floating all over the ship after that? Peter Pan! From there we got all fancied up for Formal Night and dinner at the Enchanted Garden followed by the show Aladdin, which was honestly Broadway caliber and was our all of our favorite show of the whole cruise. It was fantastic and we especially loved the Genie and the Magic Carpet!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

Cabin 05A

Our room was beautiful, well appointed, and lots more storage than we anticipated! It was always kept spectacularly clean. It was the perfect location as we took the stairs everywhere and it was either four floors up to the pool deck or four floors down to all the characters, dining, and action. It was right near the midship stairwell which made it easy to dart up and down to wherever we needed to be but yet we heard zero noise, which was amazing. The veranda was incredible, I don't think I would ever cruise without one!
