This cruise, aboard Royal Princess, is certainly one that the cruise line can boast: a ship beautifully appointed and maintained; a staff worthy of recognition; fascinating ports and professionally escorted excursions!

With 23 cruises under our belt, this was our second Princess. We sailed previously with 20 RCCL and one Celebrity. Without exception, this may have been our best cruise ever. From the start, about a year earlier, we booked directly with Princess on their website. Despite needing to fly to Rome a day before departure, in order to tour Rome on our own, air reservations were completed online through EZAir without a hitch. Periodic payments were a breeze to complete throughout the ensuing months. Documentation suggesting embarkation arrival times proved most beneficial, as we only waited in line about five minutes before heading directly to our cabin. Luggage arrived within the hour.

Dining was fairly standard--nothing to “rave” about--but tasty selections and attentive service--both in the buffet and main dining room. We dined one night at Crown Grill, which was excellent! We couldn’t have asked for a better meal.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

Our cabin, M107, was incredible. For a few extra dollars, our mini-suite was actually a suite, in our opinion. Hall, full bath, living area, and separate bedroom, allowed for all the space one would need. Two large-screen TVs and a king-sized bed was almost as good as home. Our balcony, situated directly above the bridge was large enough to party. Loungers, as well as a patio table and four chairs, furnished an area that allowed for dancing and socializing. Prior to booking this cabin, we read the reviews and warnings about the balcony door being locked on sea days, or not being able to use outside lighting. None of this was true! If we ever book this class of ship again, M107 will be our choice.
