I have to commit, I never thought I would be the kind of person who enjoys cruising. But last year my father and his wife invited us on a cruise to Alaska, and we decided it would be a great idea. Little did I know that I would fall in love with cruising.
This being my first trip, and not knowing how I would respond to being at sea, we made arrangements to have an aft facing balcony room so I would have easy access to fresh air. Cabin Number 8076. It was perfect and well worth the upgrade from a window room.
From the moment we stepped on board the ship, and saw the welcoming dance party, we were made to feel welcome and appreciated on the boat. Our Stewart was absolutely fabulous, warm and friendly and looking after our every need. The room had a very comfortable bed, with soft clean sheets every day. The bathroom was more spacious than I expected, and I don't even know where to start with the amazing balcony. I wonderful to have our very own space to enjoy the beautiful scenery and just sit in the sun on the provided loungers and chairs.
The cabin was great! Clean and spacious!! The bathroom was much more spacious than I thought it would be, as was the shower. I liked all the little nooks and crannies for unpacking your luggage. The balcony was amazing! You cannot beat the view, nor the luxury of having your own private balcony. I liked the gentle war of the engines far below us, and I did not have an issue with any fumes from the smokestack. In fact I had the best nap of my life one day with the sunshine into the balcony window, and the gentle rumble of the boat.
