we spent 3 days in athens before sailing enjoyed our time on board our package with cruise 1st included a 14 night cruise and time in rome and athens our balcony cabin was excellent and the staff friendly and efficient.Entertainment was very good and the meals where extremely good.Most of the ports you can walk off the ship and explore on foot bus es where complementry if needed.Great cruise line celebrity one of the best we have cruised with.The shore excursion we booked on the ship was expensive ,it was a 9 hour mini bus tour of the amalfi coast the views where beautiful we stoped at the lovely towns of positano and amalfi and sorrento which we had two hours to explore would have liked more time here,the mini bus was much to small no leg room and most of our time was spent on the bus.travel times are slow as the roads are extremely crowded same with the towns and that was in june
