A video I made of my Independence of the Seas June 4th 2016 sailing. Part 1 The Ports and Part 2 The Ship, It's a long one, but I hope it captures what a great time we had. Enjoy! http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4k19kb

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E3

The stateroom was larger than expected, particularly the balcony area. The room was clean and tidy on arrival and we were pleased to have extra room between the balcony and the cabin (if that makes sense) to store things. I would like to say the beds were comfortable, however I didn’t get to experience them as I slept outside on the balcony on a sun lounger as my cabin co-habiter snores. However I can verify that with a quilt, two blankets and a towel, plus a couple of pillows and duvet, one can make a sun lounger quite comfortable! We asked if we could have a couple of sunbeds on the balcony, rather than the two chairs, and our cabin attendant Felix bought a couple down for us which was really good of him. Everything in the room functioned correctly including the safe and TV, though there was very little in the way of channel choices for the TV, but we didn’t watch it much anyway so it didn’t really affect us. The bathroom was nice with enough room for what we needed, and the shower was surprisingly powerful and we always got hot water from both that and the tap. Storage in the bathroom consisted of an under sink shelf, space around the sink, and then a cupboard behind a mirror, there was also shelving in the shower as well. Towels and flannels were changed twice day (even when we hung towels back up to be reused), and it was always clean. It would be nice if they had a better table on the balcony (like on Explorer of the Seas), but we just carried our coffee table out for when we wanted breakfast outside, it wasn’t heavy to move.
