WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!! This was the first cruise I have been on in years and will likely be the last. To begin, we arrived at the terminal and were quickly shown to priority check-in. This process was quick and pleasant. However, after we checked in we were escorted by a staff member who insisted on carrying a priority sign high in the air as we walked past hundreds of people waiting to check in. This display was both unnecessary and embarrassing. We then boarded a very dated ship (The Norwegian Sky). Though unappealing, this wasn't a big concern for us. We then were seated at Cagney's on Deck 12 where we had an awful lunch. My son ordered the Salmon which was O.K., but the Chicken that I ordered was inedible. The chicken looked as if it hadn't been refrigerated properly because of the color and was extremely tough. We then left the bar and were escorted to our room. The room was by far the best part of our cruise. It was spacious, and we had a fantastic aft facing balcony. After putting down our stuff down, we decided to explore the ship. This was ultimately an unpleasant experience. The ship had very few activities going on except for drinking. This cruise definitely catered towards people my son's age (20's) but had very little to offer a woman in her 50's. The following evening, we decided to make a reservation at Le Bistro (one of the ship's a la carte restaurants) hoping that since the food wasn't free, it would be of a better quality. WRONG. The pork had a funny smell and the duck that my son ordered was excessively fatty. And top everything off at the end of the meal the waiter came over with a cake that said, "Happy Anniversary" which left my son and I mortified. After another disappointing meal, we had a drink and went back to our room. When we got back, the floor was vibrating, and we soon realized it was from the Stardust theatre immediately below us which made it impossible to sleep. This happened two nights in a row. The last night, however, had been particularly unpleasant since with the whole back of the ship vibrating which shook our beds and made all the glassware in the cabinets clink together. When we got back to Miami, we couldn't wait to get off. We were up at 5:30 AM to be out the door by 6:30 AM. We were told to be down by 7:00 AM to meet our "Priority Disembarkation" escort by 7:00 AM. At guest services, when were settling any extra charges we had made on board, they told us that we had been given wrong information, and the escort would be around until 7:45 AM. Needless to say, we were very unhappy with this news, especially after we had seen several other groups of people being escorted off the ship. In the end, we saw ourselves off the ship and were happier for it. In the end, avoid this cruise ship and this cruise line. Go on a Disney Cruise they were much better than this!

Spacious and lovely, but beware the back of the ship has a tendency to vibrate making it hard to sleep.
