Sail Date: Jul 2016
Cabin: Large Ocean-View Stateroom

The Ship:

Veendam is a small ship and easy to navigate. Embark and disembark was quick and efficient. The ship is showing its age, cabins and public rooms are clean but worn. Having cruised on many ships prior to this cruise, this one really feels out of date and lacks things to do. The crew were friendly and helpful our cabin steward, the staff at the Explorations Cafe were outstanding. The staff at the Lido not so much

The Food:

Cabin Review

Large Ocean-View Stateroom

Cabin G

This cabin is forward on the starboard side. The window is actually two small portholes. The cabin has a good layout and sufficient storage. His and hers closets was a nice feature. Like most of the ship however, things look a bit tired and worn

The cabin was noisy in the early morning when the ship was docking at port. There was some noise from the promenade deck above
