We arrived in London on the day of the vote, the results on the next day had the volume of news reporters on every corner broadcasting the results of the vote. Needless to say there was thousands of people in the parliament district of London which made site seeing crazy. The traffic was horrendous but maybe this is normal. The next day we hired a private company to transport us to Southhampton which went smoothly even though it was raining. Embarkment when quickly and smoothly. Our balcony room was clean and cozy even though the decor could be freshened up as I believe the ship was built in 2004. Our room steward was friendly and accommodating. Found that there were too many ports and very little relaxing time. We did enjoy the ports and went with Crusing Excursions for 5 ports as found princess wanted way to much money for the excursions. Did 3 ports on our own and the last day to Paris through Princess.

The dining room food was excellent as was the waiters. The Horizon buffet was the normal type of buffet food, and they give you a platter as a plate. The breakfasts were perfect with everything available.

The top sun deck was only used once as even though it was June/July it rains 99% of the time in Ireland and Scotland. The movies under the sky's were playing with some brave souls watching but it was about 50F and usually raining. The live princess theatre performances were excellent. And a nice touch at Cork was local Irish dancers came onboard for a hour before sailing to perform. From our balcony out on the dock, dancers and musicians played before and while we sailed away. The same took place in Scotland with young people performing the highland fling on board and bagpipes on deck while we sailed away. This was a very nice touch. Must say that Ireland and Scotland is very beautiful with the rolling Green Hills, from all the rain.

Cozy and comfortable, decor is dated, bedding well used, pillows very soft. The usual cruise ship rooms. Must say rooms are very quiet as never heard sounds from either sides of us.

Port Reviews

Cobh (Cork)

Blarney Castle and tour of Cork was worth the excursion through Cruising Excursions of London. Very pretty grounds and hubby kissed the stone.

Liverpool

Did the Beatles two museums and a hop on hop off city bus tour. Also rained mist of the day

Belfast

Hop on hop off bus city tour and some shopping time

Greenock (Glasgow)

Visited the Stirling Castle and some free shopping time. Very pretty country, a lot of history with the castle.

Edinburgh (South Queensferry)

Crowded and rained

St. Peter Port (Guernsey)

Tendered to shore. Was a Sunday and locals had a market set up which was fun to explore. Some stores were open, very pretty town worth seeing. Very friendly people.
