My husband and I arrived home two days ago from a cruise on the Empress. I like many others had reservations regarding the ship after reading so many bad reviews. My husband and I had a wonderful time cruising. It actually was one of the best cruises we have done. The service was excellent and we thought highly of Joersch and Aubrey who work as waiters in the Starlight dining room. Joersch could always be trusted for recommendations on entree items. Our cabin was refurbished and had no problems. We were in 7180. Our cabin attendant was friendly and efficient as was all of the staff on the Empress. It is a smaller vessel and does not have all the bells and whistles of the larger ships but that was the understood before we boarded. It has a small pool that we enjoyed with the other cruisers as well as a rock climbing wall. There are lots of activities for guests but the teens I talked too seemed rather bored. Great choice for those who want to relax, eat, drink and be merry..Grab a deck chair and enjoy.

Small but comfortable.
