First time ever with Royal so we were pretty excited. The ship is very nice. The embarkation process was very easy and fast (real surprised). Once we got on the ship we were welcomed by daycare staff who immediately explained the process and gave my youngest a wristband being that she's less than 12, however my older kids 14 and 17 had to share a camp (it was 12 to 17) which we found weird because normally on other ships these ages are separated but we were willing to give it a try. That was never the case. My son who is 14 went to the camp and immediately did not want to return. They did not have any game consoles and he did not want to do any of the activities such as karaoke and treasure hunts...for teens....ehhhhh no. My 17 yr old never wants to really hang out with family so she at night she ended up hanging out with the kids her age.

Lunch at the Windjammer was just okay but very annoying because it's so packed in there that it was hard to find a table (that's never happened on any other ship with us) but hey we had to make the best of it.

The rooms were ready by 1:30 and I was not impressed. The cabin for 4 was very small, again at this point we are comparing to our other experiences and this room by far was the smallest. Throughout our trip I was not impressed with housekeeping at all! We are used to housekeeping coming by twice in a day but unfortunately that was not the case, they came by once a day and that means we only got towels once and had to dry them for during the day to have them ready for the night (and on the last day we got an envelope for an extra tip....really!!!) The bathroom was super tiny and always (no matter what) smelled like urine....Ridiculous because as everyone knows Royal is not cheap.
