Excellent experience for our family, but it must be said: this line scrapes every nickel it can from your pockets. Excursions, expensive on all cruises, were utterly outrageous: $199 for a ride to the Mendenhall Glacier and and two hours on a very old whale watch ship, for instance. Daily charge of $6.59 for soda package. $69 for each session of bingo. After paying for the children's Cokes we were charged once in error for the two of them, and they refused to remove the charge unless we called when we returned.

We booked the White Pass and Yukon train trip from Skagway on our own, for $99 or adults and $50 for kids. The ship's price was more than double that.

Most egregious error: we had plane reservations at 11:15 am, and when we called the NCL office we were told that UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES would there be enough time from debarkation to make it to the Seattle airport. We spent over $1100 to rebook our flights. The entire ship was empty by 8 am and there was a "walk off" feature starting at 7 am. They cost us a great deal of money.
