Chose the cruise due to itinerary, timing and overall cruise critic reviews. Stopovers were decent and the boat had a strong reputation for families. We had gone on a few prior cruises and were bound to compared this to the Regal Princess - our last cruise. This ship was a bit outdated and there was a pretty annoying non-stop "upselling" feel to it - beverage packages, restaurant recommendations etc. It is too bad, actually, because the crew was super nice - but they have been taught to sell, and sell often.

We stayed in the Concierge Class room with a balcony. It was nice and comfortable and at the back of the boat. (More walking involved to all things on the boat)

For kids, our daughter really enjoyed the Fun Factory (kids club) and attended every night. For my wife and I, we enjoyed the live entertainment and a few of the restaurants (Moreno and Tuscan Grille) were very good. The sushi restaurant was really, really bad. (That is part of the paid restaurant package - you can get 3 for $99 and kids pay $10 per each place) The food overall on the ship was average at best.
