Alaska was the draw, it is a great destination. Did the land portion after the cruise and enjoyed it as well. Princess is changing and not for the better. This is our third Princess cruise and next time I think we will try another company. No more midnight buffet, chocolate buffet, baked Alaska parade, lines and waiting for the any time dining, personalized service on the decline too. It's just not special anymore even though we love cruising. Enjoyed the shore and land based excursions and some of the educational talks. Husky Homestead with Jeff King of Iditarod fame was great. 32 puppies to hold and enjoy, plus a superior talk from Jeff. Alaska is worth the trip and Princess does make the land portion run smoothly. Embarkation, on and off at the port locations and disembarkation went very smoothly. Delays and lines were minimal even though the ship was full.
We decided on a mini suite versus a balcony but not sure the value was there. Suite was comfortable but starting to show some wear. Balcony furniture had broken chaise, couch was worn. Bed was comfortable.
