We chose the NCL (NEVER CRUISE Line again) because of the "sell" of the Escape when we were on the Getaway. It showed ropes courses, aqua park, etc. We were a total of 10, having 3 inside cabins and one balcony suite.
Our inside cabin smelled of sewage. When the engineer came to our room, he said that the smell was not "history", but he would investigate it. First, he said it was under our bed. After several days, they put harsh chemicals in the room and told us to keep the bathroom door open so the fan in the shower could get rid of the smell. We are former boaters and felt the smell was coming from the head. I got very ill from the chemical smell; it took two times to get a cabin that we finally moved into (half of our trip).
Upon arrival, our grandson, age 14 was not happy with the SMALL or lack of a pool to swim in. It was so crowded and LOUD (no thanks to the cruise director Tyler -- Make some NOISE...what an unprofessional person). One of the pool slides was not open for most of the cruise...heard that someone was hurt and it had to be modified. The Garden Cafe had very limited salad bar.
SEWAGE smell which could not be solved...
